Harvard 2 + 2
Harvard 2+2 program is specifically designed for final year undergrad students who wish to apply for international MBA programs but lack professional experience. The Harvard 2+2 Program is an initiative of the Harvard Business School (HBS) which immerses students into leadership practice, through empowering them to solve real-world challenges. The scholars experience a diverse community of colleagues and faculty that reflect amazing talents and backgrounds.
The Harvard 2+2 Program is a deferred admission process for current students, either in college or full-time masters programs. It is comprised of at least two years of professional work experience followed by two years in the HBS MBA Program.
Upon graduation, admitted Harvard 2+2 students spend a minimum of two years (maximum of four years) working in a professional position in the public, private, or non-profit sector. Students from STEM and humanities disciplines are encouraged to apply, but the 2+2 Program attracts accomplished students from all fields of study.
Harvard 2+2: Eligibility: If you are in your final year of study, you are eligible to apply This timing applies to:
- Candidates from bachelor degree programs
- Candidates from joint bachelor/graduate degree programs
- Candidates from graduate degree programs who have not held a full-time work position (other than internships or co-ops). To be eligible for the 2+2 program, candidates need to have gone directly from undergraduate to graduate school
Harvard 2+2: Preparation: To be considered for admission to the 2+2 Program, one must complete the GMAT or GRE. One must take the AWA section of either test and the Integrated Reasoning portion of the GMAT, if taking the GMAT. Indian students will need to submit a TOEFL, IELTS or PTE score. If one is in the process of getting master’s at an institution where courses are taught in English, but undergraduate work was completed in a language other than English, it is recommended but not required that one takes the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE.
Harvard 2+2: Application: The 2+2 application is essentially the same as the online application for the MBA program. There is a non-refundable U.S. $100 application fee (credit card only) vs. $250 application fee for non-2+2 applicants. All applications and recommendations must be submitted online. 2+2 applications have only one deadline. Applications are not reviewed on a rolling basis so application will not be considered until the application deadline.
