At XYZ, my focus was on Finance Technology, encompassing tasks such as data warehousing in Trade Data Warehouse (Sybase), multi-stage processing involving interest and premium calculations, and the final ledger generation in Finance Data Mart (Oracle). I also successfully engineered an application that allowed users to manually input and update their trades in the database using Oracle Application Express. Witnessing the tangible impact of my work on the bank’s customers during my tenure at XYZ sparked my interest in the transformative potential of technology on a broader scale. This newfound perspective drove me towards a career in Civil Services, a highly competitive endeavor with nearly a million aspirants vying for a spot and an acceptance rate of only 0.1%. Given the rigorous nature of the examination, I made the decision to leave XYZ and dedicate myself full-time to the preparation process.

Alongside my team, I am entrusted with maintaining the national database encompassing all suspicious financial transactions, in accordance with the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA). I conduct operational and strategic analyses utilizing a combination of Spring MVC and SQL on Oracle database. Additionally, I play a pivotal role in generating actionable intelligence for both domestic and international law enforcement agencies.
India, as a developing nation, still grapples with a significant portion of its population lacking access to fundamental amenities like education and healthcare. This reality serves as an unwavering source of motivation for me to make a meaningful contribution to society. During my time in college, I volunteered with the NGO XYZ at its Gender Resource Centre, dedicating myself to teaching underprivileged children. Additionally, as an active member of both the XYZ Club at my college and district, I took the lead in organizing and participating in numerous events aimed at uplifting the economically disadvantaged sections of society. My involvement with XYZ also saw me engaged in their social service program, XYZ, working towards various social causes. In a country as diverse as India, technology stands as the ultimate equalizer and holds the key to development. Take education, for example; tele-education has the potential to enhance learning outcomes and standardize education, addressing the unique curriculum challenges each state presents. With this in mind, I am driven to further hone my skills through a Master’s program, leveraging the power of Big Data to deliver tailored solutions on a large scale. The Master of Science in Computer Science and Systems at the School of Engineering and Technology, University of XYZ, appears to be perfectly aligned with my aspirations to realize this goal.
