MAJOR AUSTRALIA SCHOLARSHIPS
1. (Australia Scholarships)Australia Awards
Australia Awards Scholarships, formerly known as Australian Development Scholarships (ADS), are long term development awards administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Australia Awards aim to promote knowledge, education links, and enduring ties between Australia and other countries. The program brings together scholarships offered by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT), the Department of Education and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR). They provide opportunities for people from developing countries, particularly those countries located in the Indo-Pacific region, to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions. The scholarship benefits generally include: full tuition fees, return air travel, establishment allowance, contribution to living expenses (CLE), Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) etc. These scholarships are available for students of all degree levels (bachelors, masters, PhD) hailing from selected countries within the Asia-Pacific region, Africa and the Middle East. Applicants from Indonesia can also apply for the Allison Sudradjat Prize and/or the Hadi Soesastro Prize
2. (Australia Scholarships)Destination Australia
The Destination Australia Program is the Australian Government’s new mobility program for domestic and international students to study in regional Australia. Over 1000 scholarships will be available each year to support both domestic and international students studying at regional campus locations in qualifications from a Certification IV level and above. Australian tertiary institutions will be able to apply for scholarships of up to $15,000 per student, per year. Over 1,000 scholarships of up to AU$15,000 per student per year are available to both domestic and international students to study at all study levels at universities in regional Australia
3. (Australia Scholarships) Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP)
The Research Training Program (RTP) replaced the International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) program. These are Postgraduate-level Australian scholarships for domestic and international students to study a research degree at a participating Australian university. Funded by the Australian Government, the scholarship covers tuition fee and health insurance of the student for up to 3 years. It covers both research doctorate and research master’s degree. Applications for these scholarships are made directly to a participating university
4.(Australia Scholarships) Australia APEC Women in Research Fellowship
The Australia APEC Women in Research Fellowships are open to high-achieving female researchers from APEC economies for research opportunities in partnership with Australian education and research institutions. The fellowships aim to support women’s economic empowerment in the APEC region and raise the profile of female role models in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
5. (Australia Scholarships) Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship Awards
The Endeavour Postgraduate Awards provide full financial support for international students to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters or PhD level either by coursework or research in any field of study in Australia. The scholarships include tuition fees, travel allowance, establishment allowance, monthly stipend as well as health and travel insurance. Funded by the Australian Government, the program rewards international students with leadership skills to explore research opportunities in their field of study. 6.(Australia Scholarships)Fulbright Program
The Australian-American Fulbright Commission offers scholarships to American citizens across all career stages. Awardees take part in an academic and cultural exchange, pursuing research or study at an Australian institution, experiencing life in Australia, and bringing back their knowledge and experience to share with their communities in the U.S.
MINOR AUSTRALIA SCHOLARSHIPS
1. University of Sydney International Research Scholarships
The University of Sydney invites candidates who are eligible to undertake a Postgraduate Research Degree or Master’s by Research program at this University to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS). The USydIS will cover tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years with a possibility of one semester’s extension for PhD students.
2. Macquarie University International Scholarships
The Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship provides a partial tuition fee scholarship for outstanding students to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Macquarie University North Ryde campus. The scholarship amount is varied up to AUD$10,000.
3. University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships
The Graduate Research Scholarship was established by the University of Melbourne and is awarded to high achieving domestic and international research students. The scholarship benefits include tuition fee waiver, living allowance, relocation grant, and overseas student health cover
4. Adelaide Scholarships International
The University of Adelaide offers the Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) program to attract high quality international postgraduate students to areas of research strength in the University of Adelaide to support its research effort. The scholarships includes course tuition fees, annual living allowance, and health insurance.
5. Australian Catholic University International Student Scholarships – Scholarships for commencing international undergraduate and postgraduate students, awarded based on academic merit.
6. Australian National University – Various scholarships available for international students at all study levels, which can be found using a search tool on the university site.
7. Curtin University International Research Scholarships – International scholarships for students undertaking master’s or PhD programs at Curtin University in Perth. The university is also offering three AU$10,000 Meng Fei Innovative Future Leader Scholarships for international undergraduate and master’s by coursework students.
8. La Trobe Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) – Scholarships for international students to study at La Trobe University in Melbourne. Open to high-achieving students from outside Australia or New Zealand who are enrolled on any taught undergraduate or postgraduate program. Scholarship lasts a maximum of two semesters
9. Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships – Partial tuition fee scholarships available to “outstanding” international students to study in Australia at Macquarie University in Sydney. Not open to students from Europe, ASEAN countries, Mongolia, Australia or New Zealand
10. Monash University International Scholarships for Excellence – Merit-based scholarships for undergraduate and graduate international students to study in Australia at Monash University in Melbourne
11. Rotary Peace Fellowships – Australian scholarships awarded to master’s degree students studying within one of Rotary’s Peace Centers (such as at the University of Queensland, Australia).
12. University of Newcastle Postgraduate Research Scholarships (UNIPRS) – Australian scholarships for postgraduate students to study in Australia at the University of Newcastle.
13. University of Southern Queensland (USQ) Greater China International Student Bursary – Five bursaries worth up to AU$5,000 are available for undergraduate or postgraduate students from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan
14. UTS International Undergraduate Full Tuition Scholarship – UTS will pay each recipient’s tuition fees for the approved bachelor’s degree for the duration of the scholarship. The scholarship lasts for the standard number of sessions required for completion of the recipient’s enrolled undergraduate course on the basis of full-time study load. There’s also an equivalent postgraduate scholarship.
15. Victoria University International Scholarships – A range of scholarships for international students, such as the VU International Postgraduate Research Scholarship.
16. International Water Centre Scholarships for International Students – Australian scholarships for international students undertaking the Masters in Integrated Water Management program at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.
17. The Northcote Graduate Scholarship – A scholarship for UK students to undertake a postgraduate degree in Australia for up to three years. Administered by the Britain-Australia Society on behalf of the Northcote Trust.
18. Deakin university- NDTV Deakin Scholarship: Launched in 2015, the NDTV-Deakin Scholarship offers three scholarships with 100% tuition fee waiver to any students for pursuing studies at Deakin University. Over the past three years, 15 students have been awarded this meritorious scholarship
19. Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship: Deakin recognises students with consistently high academic performance and the potential to make a leading contribution to the university and its communities. Successful students will be required to participate in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program. Unsuccessful applicants of the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship will automatically be considered for the Deakin International Scholarship.
